Motor insurance or vehicle insurance is a mandatory insurance policy designed for private and commercial plying on the roads of India. These include bikes, cars, trucks, autos, etc. A motor insurance policy offers coverage against third-party liabilities and accidental damages sustained by the insured vehicle. Having at least third-party insurance for vehicles is mandatory as per Indian motor laws.

Type of Motor Insurance 

There are three main categories of motor vehicle insurance: liability, collision, and comprehensive. Liability insurance covers damage you cause to others, including property damage and injuries. Collision insurance covers damage to your car from a collision with another car or object. Comprehensive insurance covers damage to your car from events other than collisions, such as fire, theft, vandalism, and natural disasters.
